Frequently Asked Questions

How do I power the USB?

The Watch Link USB can be plugged directly into your workout equipment, into the USB plug of a nearby computer, or into a USB power brick (such as the one used for your iPhone charging cable). An adapter can be used for workout equipment that supports a micro USB or USB C connection. For example, the Peloton OG bike provides a micro USB port on the back of the monitor. The Watch Link USB can be plugged directly into this port using a micro USB to USB adapter.

What is the difference between the USB and Pod?

The Watch Link USB has a few more features than the Watch Link Pod: the primary feature being that it does not require a battery. While both devices support the native broadcasting of Apple Watch heart rate to workout equipment over ANT+, the USB device can also broadcast using native Bluetooth, all without the use of a user’s iPhone. This added feature makes the USB device compatible with any workout equipment that supports standard Bluetooth and/or ANT+ heart rate monitors. If the sole purpose of your Watch Link is to support workouts indoors, the Watch Link USB is the ideal device for you. If you are also looking to utilize your Watch Link for on-the-go activities such as cyclers wanting heart rate on their bike computers, the Watch Link Pod is the perfect fit for that application.

When will the WATCH LINK pre-order ship?

The USB will be ready to ship in early January 2022. You will receive a new email that includes tracking information once your order is on its way to you.
